While the ticket booth is a kilometer from the entrance, you can hire a rickshaw if you prefer not to walk.

The Taj Mahal has three entrances, and choosing the right one can save you time. The East Gate is the most convenient for those staying in nearby hotels and, while it can be busy, it’s usually manageable. The West Gate is a little farther and tends to be crowded during the day, but it’s quieter at sunrise. The South Gate is best avoided unless you want to experience the chaotic market nearby and the aggressive souvenir vendors.
